Established in 1946 Heide & Cook is a Hawai`i owned mechanical contractor with an outstanding reputation for meeting tough schedules, delivering a quality product, and coming in on-budget.
With strong field supervision and experienced project managers, Heide & Cook brings value to every project.
We differentiate ourselves from the competition with our Quality Control program and our company-wide approach and commitment to injury-free construction. Financially, we have the strength and reserves to provide the bonding, working capital and purchasing power to successfully meet even the largest project requirements.
The company, Heide & Cook Ltd., was officially incorporated in 1950. Today the company is led by Earle Matsuda, President, and Dexter Kekua, Chief Financial Officer. It has grown from a small plumbing company in 1946 to one of Hawai`i's largest and most respected full service mechanical contractors.
Heide & Cook has experienced rapid growth and assembled a list of current and past clients that includes Hawai`i's best and most well known commercial enterprises.
We're a Kama'aina company and Native Hawaiian owned. We're proud of this and proud of the commitment and resources we’ve dedicated to Hawai`i and our community.
Some of our projects
Commercial
Through our commercial work we touch the lives of many of our friends and families. The companies we work for know that we will do our utmost to guarantee that their customer's workplace will work exactly like they expect it to.
Medical
Nowhere is the work we do more important than in the medical industry. When you are caring for sick people, you need to be assured that your place of work is completely healthy and safe.
Hospitality
The hospitality industry is by far Hawaii's largest. We know that the hotels, restaurants and other hospitality companies we work with count on us to help them create a place where their guests' experience can be perfect.
Institutional
Our institutional work often touches the lives of Hawaii's children and young adults. We are proud to set the standard here, and elsewhere in our business, knowing that the surroundings we help to create are truly important.
